Bunker Brenda

The Breda bunkers , or more precisely the air raid shelters of the V° Air Force Section of Breda, are present throughout the eastern sector of the Parco Nord. These represent the ideal place to stimulate reflection on the past and local history, to strengthen social ties, awareness and social growth. The decisive role of the Park in the redevelopment process allows us to work on new identity interpretations of the city and the territory.

Inside the bunkers , meetings, visits, artistic and multimedia installations, performances and narrations, concerts, film screenings and photographic exhibitions are organized . Visitors dialogue with citizens who have experienced the events related to the struggle for Liberation and the Resistance in the Second World War, the period of great industrial expansion and the redevelopment of the North Milan area. Visitors actively contribute to the construction of a great collective narrative, leaving their analytical and emotional contribution.

The Bunker Breda hosts a permanent exhibition, and can be visited during the monthly opening weekends. Through voices, images and soundscapes the public is guided on a path of knowledge and sharing strongly emotional.
